A Time For Us (Christmas birthday poem)

Annabel 
Wild bells, frosty earth, and sacred sky,
Rang in the love of truth and eternal light,
Once a white Christmas, you arrived this world 
with amber daises and dainty whimsical delight.

Happy bells, stormy land, and dutiful stars,
Rang in the new blood, rang out the ancient feud,
On a cherry Christmas, you came silently with me,
we wore innocent dreams and rounded rosy dimples.

Sometimes in the quietness I can hear you sing,
under shimmering moonlight and in the morning sun,
and feel you loving presence landing in my tears,
When I was blinded, deaf, and dreadfully bitter,
When I wanted to give up and join the faraway iceberg. 

In the bosom of the ocean buried,
In the winters of past discontent,
you are with me in everything I do,
follow every footprint of my path.
Seasons come, seasons go, 
You are my guiding angel,
and you will always be. 

Another year, another December,
Our love is a fever, burning still...

Another Christmas, another birthday,
Dearest child,
you are always more than beautiful to me...

  8. It’s your Birthday, You are one lovely creation, maybe not what was expected, but beautifully blessed and gifted.🥰🎁🎉
    Yes on a frosty day, warmth entered the equation of life and you breathe fresh air! Many years later you moved liked the wind and endured…Danced on to progression and survival. Wrote therapeutically and our hearts cried and declared YES… Like the angel dancer we too shall be well.🤗
