I Can Fly

Love is in your eyes, sitting silent by my side
Going on, holding hands, walking through the night
Hold me up, hold me tight, lift me up to touch the sky
Teaching me to love with heart, helping me open my mind

I can fly, I'm proud that I can fly
To give the best of mine, till the end of the time

Stars in the sky, wishing once upon a time
Give me love, make me smile till the end of life

Can't you believe that you've lighted up my way
No matter how thorny my path, I'll never lose my faith
See me fly, I'm proud that I can fly up so high

Nothing can stop me
Spreading my wings... so wide

A song I once heard as a teenager has surprisingly been the forecast of my life journey. This morning, when the distant yet familiar melody which has been buried in the depth of my memory resurfaces itself, it brings me much joyful tears. It is exactly at this uneventful moment, I have come to accept my past. I know that no one else in this world could have done any better than I have for myself if given the same circumstances. I am proud of the little Annabel I was. “Believe me, I can fly, I am singing in the sky…..”, she still sings along through the heart.

    1. You are more than kind, my dear friend! It’s an honour to dance at a Hindu temple and I feel resonated with every story in the scripts.

      2. Thank you for noticing stuti! It was inspired to include in my work by my experience sitting inside the temple and just listening the prayers of the priests. It was a sublime and satisfying sensation….

        Yes! will keep you posted if I happen to be in India down the road 🙂

      4. WOW, Thank YOU! My Indian dance journey is also a long struggling story, which I haven’t written it down but will in the future 🙂 this Indian dance journey has over the years, offered me a true spiritual sanctuary.
