The woman I am, is very ordinary, but an uncommon sort. The woman I am, is a rebel, so intense but never impulsive. The woman I am, is a foolish dreamer, spunky and shrewd. The woman I am, is neither a dangerous seductress nor your girl next door. I am the white moonlight shyly beaming through you wintery windows, and the red birthmark engraved in your memories in all earthy reincarnations. I follow your fate, my fate, and the sun's orbit, but I fight my own battles. I am marching alone, but there are a hundred thousand warriors behind me. I am fire and ice; I am kindness and cruelty; I am merciful and unforgiving; I am sensual not exactly sexual; I am spiritual but despise the empty soul talks; I can be your rose at times, I can be your pain often, I can be your one soulmate; I am whoever I wish for I am the dictatorial Queen of my story, God's favourite. I am a Christmas dandelion, soft like dove feathers and white like alyssum flower I am high as the tip buds of the golden glow and low as the sweet meadow of earth. I belong to the sky, the water, the mountain, the brightest Christmas star tonight, Oh Beloved, Make your wish this Christmas and you will make it come true for us.
From the Poetess:
I enjoyed writing this Christmas Birthday poem for myself and I celebrate the woman I am today. Reflecting back on all those passing years, I am grateful to have made it to this wonderful Christmas of 2022 and embracing many many more to come.
Life is like that old-aged velvet wine, with intricate layers of notes and flavours, sometimes fruitful-sweet, sometimes sour-bitter, and often wondrously plain. In this life, I have tasted the sweet joy of success, and I have experienced the bitter fall at times. Nonetheless, even in times of failures, I have no regret, for I have taken the risks, sticked my head out, put in my efforts, and made my demands. What an adventurous youthful time well spent!
This Christmas, this Birthday, as I savour the layers of my life’s velvet wine, I raise my glass in a toast to the beautiful world and magic era that I am a part of….
“We are the artists of beautiful things. Do everything with your heart and relentless passion that you will never regret you have lived a life, a brave and a bravo one! “
Oh, shall I introduce my new family member, Spruce? I am actually trying to match up my Christmas dress with his fur coat this year, without wearing my favourite red. Spruce is the curious and energetic little guy I am currently fostering. He was found wandering on the streets when he was around 3 weeks old and was brought to the nearby animal shelter. Spruce is eight weeks old now and is very happy to spend his first Christmas with me! 💖
Little Spruce was sleeping on my lap….
After a busy work season and frequent travels this year, I would much prefer to spend a relaxing and quiet Christmas at home. I am not hosting any parties this Christmas and just having Christmas Brunch with close friends. How easy going!!
From our home to yours, Spruce and I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season! May this Christmas give you many reasons to smile and laugh, dear reader and friends! 🥳🥂
