Empty Notebook

My notebook has remained blank for months
My words have deserted its oath ever since
thanks to the light showered around me,
I have no use
for my pen, which lies
languorously without grief.

Nothing is better than to live
a storyless life that needs
no writing for meaning—
And when I am gone, let others say
they lost a sober lady,
though no one knows how happy I was.
Me and Happy
