The Promise

Sweet sour autumn rains fall quietly like air,
And my flimsy heart is an aimless floating kite,
Its purple wings seized my struggling lungs,
invisibly buoy me to the rivulets of sunlights.

My dreams are mostly dull and silent,
Despite the realities are proud and loud,
The beauty on earth is so blue,
With every waking breath I hear my mourning soul.
The Winter on earth is so allude,
With every decaying memory I see a laughable fool.
The aspen tree making a heaven under its golden shade,
she will whisper the tales of Olympian paradise if left undisturbed,
And I might count those fleeting blessings, broken bones, bitter tears,
Till I wake up refreshingly, in your magnificent gaze and embrace...

I hoped nothing when we were near,
Yet I parted nothing when we are far,
I feel your pulses in my veins and a kiss glowing afar,
But Dear, look what I had forgotten before:
The promise to love you...

Side Notes:

Earlier this week, I finally landed on Philadelphia, USA, where I am now supposed to be. However, to making this move was not without struggles and I wept when heading to the airport at 4am. My dear friends, former colleagues, and students sent me wonderful wishes and asked me to return as soon as possible😂😅♥️. Dear Paula and Kelly were kind to help me packing and stayed with me till 11pm the night before my departing. And a bit surprisingly yet sweetly, I also received beautiful messages from my dear readers and friends online🥰. All of you have showered me much kindness, therefore, I am now cannot live without this heartfelt gratitude…

Thank YOU !💗 ( also apologies for leaving many messages unresponded during these few passing weeks, but I am back now🤪🤗)

And yes, Philly is lovely💗. But it’s been raining so much since the 1st day of my arrival 😅, and the driving and parking really got on my nerves 😬😂….

Ah! Understood, about the rain and parking. Can be crazy; and the rain on the east coast is like a heavy shower! 💦Be well, my friend. ❤️🥰

  3. May I simply just say what a relief to uncover an individual who actually understands what they are talking about on the internet. You actually realize how to bring a problem to light and make it important. More people have to read this and understand this side of the story. I can’t believe you are not more popular given that you definitely possess the gift.

    1. wow, that was more than kind of you! I’m not seeking to be popular here, on the contrary, I sometimes wish less people would read some certain posts since I felt vulnerable in writing them…. 🙂

Thank you for visiting and reading!!
