Poemy – a dancing poem

Morning demure roses,
blessings of each melodic breath,
warmed by early summer prayers,
tentatively stirring the stillest pulses.

In its quietude silently blooms,
A waking soul’s ardent longing,
the passacaglia of a fragile being…

Dear readers and friends,

I thought it would be wonderful to share with you my choreographic work ‘Poemy’. This is a dance inspired by nature’s beauty and a soul’s longing for relatedness/connection. I am very thankful for the Dancers’ consent to share their meaningful dancing journey toward ‘oneness’. (I am the choreographer and also one of the dancers🤪😃)

If you have any problem watching it, you can also access through this link (note that this is an unlisted private video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgQLwHrM8iI&list=PLjz2PvurNUDfWhkkBzE8ZTvvnJw-2SEPd&index=14

  2. As the wolf howls upon seeing the moon, it saturated the music, and the grace and elegance of doing what comes nature when the music moves through you. The hands signals several things, but extends a welcoming invite. The dancers wants and has long for such a connection. Then the sound of the wolf howls again, but no one is startle it is apart of the evoking.

There is more that I could say, but I don’t want to be a spoiler. I LOVE IT! I have been enchanted and sit in amazement! Thank you! The magnitude of the moment. I said I was going to stop. lol

    1. Wow, thank you so much for your thoughtful and kind comments!😃🥳 your intuitive interpretation of the dance spoke my mind and you are the dream audience of any choreographer! 🥰 I am so grateful to have one😃😃🙏

I initially didn’t plan to dance in it. Since I am a classical dancer and the two others are contemporary dancers (perhaps you can sense this through our movements), so I thought having them was wonderfully enough. Then during the filming, I thought ‘well, let’s have some fun together’, then I Joined them🤪🍹.

I can’t thank you enough for Loving it!🤗😃 your words made my day much much brighter!🌞 Your kindness is outstanding!🙏🥂🥳

    1. Thank YOU, dear Michele❤️! Glad that you enjoyed the poem and the dance!🥰 The choreography was a short piece and very loosely defined since I’d like to make it seem more fluid and poem-like.

The dancers did wonderful jobs for me. I only regret my choice of skirt which wouldn’t allow me to move my feet more than 2ft apart and I couldn’t lift my legs either 😂😅….

Thank you for reading and watching💕🍹🏝
